Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner on set in Star Trek

Here are some vintage interviews with William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy from the mid to late 1960s, during the period when The Original Series was still being filmed. Shatner's costume in the first video suggests the interview took place during shooting on the What Are Little Girls Made Of? episode.

This next interview has the same Leonard Nimoy clip as the previous video, but in better quality. An additional interview with him from the start of TOS season 2 rounds out the clip...

This interview is also from 1967 where Nimoy explains to some elderly lady (KGW TV Portland, Oregon) who Spock is, what his origins are and what playing him is like...

And from 1969, William Shatner being interviewed on the Mike Douglas show...

Additional Interviews

  1. Many, many years later, in 2002, Shatner interviewed Nimoy in Mind Meld and they talked about Star Trek and how their lives went in the ensuing years. There's no version available to watch online, but the DVD is definitely worth a watch.
  2. In 2009, Shatner interviewed Nimoy again, this time on hos Raw Nerve talk show. You cam watch that interview here.
